The R&D framework cultivates critical inquiry, applied analysis, and solution-oriented thinking in international relations, diplomacy, and global affairs rooted in real-world contexts and informed by global perspectives.

R&D as a core of the academic requirement

All students are required to undertake research as part of their course completion.The research components are tailored to the course duration and level. We aim to ensure the students develop academic rigor, independent thinking and professional research skills.

R&D Design Across Various Programs

3months course

Focus: Understanding issues

  • Seminar paper development
  • Case study analysis of global affairs and diplomatic events
  • Guidance under Professional researchers and academic mentorship

Outcome: Participants produce a short analytical paper or policy note that demonstrates issue-mapping, stakeholder analysis, and basic solution pathways.

6 months Course

Focus: Solving real-world problems

  • Research and methodology and creative writing classes
  • Professional mentorship throughout the course
  • Encourages Independent research initiatives
  • Promote the use of technology to enhance students’ research skills.
  • Opportunities to publish the research with IRGDD and The Diplomat Nepal
  • Contributions to Annual Journals Publication

Outcome: Participants complete a comprehensive research paper or policy proposal designed for real-world application, advocacy, or publication.
